Provide an insight into your Vocation story - what and who led you to Seminary?

Before my Confirmation Mass, I saw the Pentecost mural on the left dome of the Cathedral Basilica and prayed, "Lord, if you were to send down the Holy Spirit like fire at the moment of my Confirmation, I would drop everything and preach the Gospel like your Apostles." After that, I would get nudges here and there toward the priesthood; I petitioned Him, "Lord, if you desire me to become a priest, don't tell me until senior year of high school." After that prayer, the nudges stopped. Regardless, I had grown a lot in the Faith after a year and a half of being in high school. I was going to restart a Catholic club at my high school and when I asked a bunch of adults for advice, they all in unison told me, "Do whatever the Holy Spirit tells you." I went to adoration that night asking the Holy Ghost to tell me what to do regarding the club. I left surrendering the holding off telling me my vocation thing, surrendering my anger and strife, and with assurance of a vocation that I was both really exited and nervous about. Slowly, I told people about it. It was a shock to some, but I got encouragement from others. Over the course of my junior year of high school, I began to touch face with the Vocation Office, going to Come and Sees and Discernment meetings. I pulled out an application to the Seminary over the Summer before my senior year of high school and turned in my application before Thanksgiving. Ironically, as I filled out my application and for a lot of my senior year of high school, I received significantly less confirmation from the Lord about entering the seminary, and I believe this was the Lord inviting me to choose it more freely. Throughout my first year at Cardinal Glennon College, I have grown significantly in self-knowledge, have had a deepened prayer life, and have been apart of a wonderful community.
