Provide an insight into your Vocation story - what and who led you to Seminary?During my freshman year of High school I felt unfulfilled despite having straight A's, a popular friend group and excelling at baseball. That year I was invited by a friend to a retreat over the summer called Christ Power at St. Joseph in Cottleville which I agreed to go on because I needed service hours. However, as we got closer to the retreat I spent more time reflecting on my past few years and saw that I was living for myself and decided that I would live for God while on this retreat and give Him a real chance. The retreat was a life changing experience for me, in particular, God showed himself to me in a very real way during adoration on guys night of that retreat. I surrendered all of my wounds and fears to Him and put my life in His hands. On that retreat the first seeds of priesthood were planted and over my next years of high school, through daily mass and adoration and in a special way, our Lady, all made my decision to enter seminary an easy one. Someone once told that to find my vocation I need to chase Joy and no doubt my joy is found in Christ and His church.
